Solomon's sword: two families and the children the state took away

I'm reading this book right now and I highly recommend it to anyone who has an ounce of interest in the field of child welfare or of the issue of poverty. This book examines the multitude of viewpoints that are projected into this field and especially into the court system when the custody of a child is at stake. It sheds light onto the uncertainty and failure of the system, and I find myself relating very well to it. I am not attempting to write a book review right now, especially as I have not finished the book...I just wanted to throw that out there as I am finding myself more and more consumed and concerned by my job as I feel a greater crushing weight of the responsibility and power that is given to me as I must make the decisions that will affect the lives of these children forever.
